Mind of Moonie
Ever since I was a little girl, this man has performed at the Renaissance Faire, spreading laughter and making people happy. He is a performer for a living, flying out from his home in Chicago where his wife and children live, to go to Faires all over the country.
One evening, after coming home from such a Faire, it occurred to me that this man would be a wellspring of wisdom and knowledge, and just to speak to him would be a privileged.
On the day of the interview, nervous and trembling, I went up to MooNiE and asked him if I could interview him before his last performance of the day. He agreed and I loved every moment of it. He was very kind and understanding and simply talking to him left me feeling happier.
Please enjoy the finished product!

This is a video compilation I did of my boyfriend's ride going through the twisties in the Santa Cruz mountains.
The Panda Vs. The Snake
This video is the finished product of my first Video Journalism project. We were all given the same footage to work with and had to make it our own by cutting and editing it into a different sentence.
My first try ended in failure. I tried to pick out individual words and use them to form a PSA about zombie pandas, however I found that getting each individual word and putting them next to one another made it rather jumpy. So it was back to the drawing board for me.
I wrote down all the words that were in the original video and highlighted phrases that I thought could be useful. By doing this I was able to put together a new story. Finally I was successful.
I really enjoyed putting this together, although I am still learning the program. So, look forward to my next work!

On The Lam
This is the finished product of our second project in the Video Journalism class. So far, this is my favorite. I really like the way that this one turned out.
We had to use exactly five shots, which seemed easy until our teacher told us that we could not have any audio or text. Now, it was a challenge. It took me two days to think of an idea for this 30 second long video, but on Wednesday night it came to me! I laid down with a packet of index cards and wrote out the video, shot by shot.
The next day I came into class dragging my very talented actor behind me and shot what you see above! Enjoy!

Light or Wrong
This is the third project in in the Video Journalism class, and while it was mostly technical, it was very fun to shoot.
Using previously recorded audio from one of our classmates, we went out and recorded examples of both good and bad lighting. It was actually rather difficult to find good places to shoot a video with the proper amount of lighting, whereas bad lighting was available in a surplus. Just knowing that made me appreciate the good lighting even more.

Kenneth On: High School
While looking for examples of good and bad audio for our project, Kenneth touched on an interesting subject that I decided to stick with. We are now able to delve into the mind of Kenneth Bardwell and hear what he thinks about what life is like after you graduate high school and enter the real world.
This project was a little harder because there was one scene in which we had to find a windy area to shoot in. The day I decided to shoot the video was a relatively windless and uncooperative day, so my subject and I had to trek up a hill to find some wind. Luckily, in the middle of our interview the Bay Area Air Conditioner turned on and provided us with some class A wind.

Veggie Burger: Savory or Sickening
It's always hard to figure out what I can and can't eat, being a vegetarian. Luckily for me, the cafeteria at my school serves a delicious and very filling Gardenbuger. It's affordable and well worth the cost. Whenever I eat at school, this is what I get, and I've never grown tired of it.
Interview With A Star
In an attempt to win a competition to have the longest interview, I do believe I lost. However, I did learn the right questions to ask. I learned which questions would get me one word answers and which questions would bring forth their entire life story with little prompting.
My subject was an amazing person with great personality and interesting stories, however in the middle of the video class ended and students started coming and going quite loudly.
